These words changed everything for me.In this new blog for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, I share the story of how a single phone call from my mentor launched me into a career I never expected — and how working in police occupational health became the most intellectually challenging, rewarding, and transferable experience of my medical life.From firearms fitness assessments to crisis-time decisions, the lessons I learned transformed not only how I think as an OHP, but also inspired the launch of R-Health, a company built to raise the bar in police OH services across the UK.
