Dr. Sanjay Kumar is an experienced Occupational Health Physician with over 30 years of wide-ranging medical expertise. He specialises in workplace health, complex case management, and mental health, including PTSD. He holds a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DOccMed), certifications in Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS Tier 3-4), Lead, and Asbestos Health Surveillance, and a Level 5 ILM Leadership and Management qualification.
As a Director of R-Health and Police Force Medical Advisor (FMA), his role is to provide expert guidance on fitness for duty assessments, complex case management, and occupational health policies while overseeing health surveillance programs and supporting police force’s overall wellbeing initiatives.
Dr. Kumar previously served as Lead FMA for the Metropolitan Police, where he was instrumental in mentoring and training new FMAs. This responsibility aligns with his ongoing work at R-Health Ltd, supporting the introduction, training, and development of FMAs to harmonise occupational health practices across the police sector.
