OH: WORKING BETTER

OH: WORKING BETTER

UK government recently announced the summary of response to health and wellbeing disability standards and ways to develop and support a multidisciplinary OH workforce.

Survey respondents overwhelmingly support the creation of a national workplace health and disability standard, emphasising the need for accessible and high-quality occupational health (OH) services tailored to organisations. They acknowledge potential costs for employers but recognise benefits like increased productivity and employee retention, especially with tax incentives. The majority also advocates for a flexible, multidisciplinary OH workforce, leveraging digital advancements for efficiency. To boost OH career attractiveness, suggestions include early promotion, career events, mentoring, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
